Return and Refund Policy

At SLUW, we create unique, one-of-a-kind handmade and upcycled products. Every item is unique and cannot be reproduced. This Return and Refund Policy explains how returns are handled for these special products.

Company and trade name: SLUW is the trade name used by Aftercores (sole proprietorship). Aftercores is registered with the Dutch Chamber of Commerce (KvK) under number 92119921. References to SLUW in this document refer to Aftercores trading as SLUW.

Article 1 - Exclusion of the statutory right of withdrawal

Due to the unique and custom-made nature of our products, they are legally excluded from the statutory right of withdrawal (the cooling-off period). This follows Article 6:230p of the Dutch Civil Code, which excludes products made to consumer specifications or clearly personal in nature.

A purchase from SLUW is therefore final in principle.

Article 2 - Our goodwill return policy

Although returns are legally excluded, we stand behind the quality of our products. For this reason, we offer a goodwill return policy.

You may submit a return request within 14 days of receipt, but only if one of the following conditions applies:
  • Product arrived damaged: The product was damaged during shipping.
  • Demonstrable defect: The product has a clear defect that is not inherent to the upcycled material.
  • Significant difference from the webshop: The delivered product differs clearly from the product photos or description.
The final decision to accept a return under this goodwill policy is always at the discretion of SLUW.

Article 3 - Conditions for a goodwill return

To be eligible for a return under our goodwill policy, the following conditions must be met:
  • The product must be unused, unwashed, and in the same condition as received.
  • All original labels and tags must still be attached.
  • The return request must be submitted within 14 days of receipt.
Please note that characteristics inherent to upcycling, such as color differences, texture variations, minor imperfections, or traces of previous use, are not considered defects.

Article 4 - How to request a goodwill return

To request a return, follow these steps:
  1. Submit your request: Email info@sluwofficial.com within 14 days of receipt.
  2. Provide details: Include your name, order number, and a clear explanation of the issue. You must include clear photos showing the problem.
  3. Wait for approval: We will review your request and respond within 5 business days.
  4. Return shipment: If approved, you will receive the return address. Return shipping costs and risk are your responsibility. We recommend using track and trace.

Article 5 - Refund

After receiving and inspecting your return, we will confirm receipt by email. If all conditions are met, the purchase amount, excluding original shipping costs, will be refunded to your original payment method within 14 days.

Article 6 - Exchanges

Due to the unique nature of our products, exchanges are not possible. If your return is approved and you wish to order another item, you must place a new order.

Article 7 - Governing law

This Return and Refund Policy is governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of The Netherlands.
